Glenfiddich 21 Year Old

Description

We use casks that once contained premium Caribbean rum to finish this expression, aged for 21 years. Four months in Gran Reserva barrels selected by our Malt Master, wrap this single malt whisky in distinct aromas and flavours. Our rum finish releases layers of intensity and sets this 21 Year Old apart from other whiskies. This exceptional Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is matured and mellowed in American oak casks for 21 years to reach a rich smoothness These complex flavours are enhanced by a spicy warmth, oak and the merest hint of smoke on the palate whilst exquisite and rich aromas of fudge and hints of ripe banana intermingle luxuriously on the nose

Tasting Notes

Nose:
Intense and sweet, floral hints of banana, figs and rich toffee.

Taste:
Initially soft, then brisk and vibrant, peppery, a touch of smoke, vanilla,ginger, lime, spices and new leather.

Finish:
Very long, warming and spicy.
